DriveLock™ is a data security software solution that dynamically locks, monitors and manages removable and other devices such as floppy disk drives, CD-ROM drives, USB devices, smart phones and many others. All administration can be performed centrally, utilizing Microsoft Active Directory.  DriveLock™ has had significant success protecting sensitive data belonging to banks, insurance companies, financial organizations, military installations, healthcare facilities and government, and we feel that the user community is in critical need of this technology.   DriveLock™ has comprehensive device support, which also includes control over other devices, such as Bluetooth, Palm, Windows Mobile, smart card readers, imaging-devices, network adapters, modems, infrared, USB controllers, 1394 (Firewire) controller,  sound,  video and game controllers, PCMCIA controllers and printers. Unlike other data security solutions, Drive Lock does not complicate the process of providing security for mobile devices. Administrators find it easy to use since it can easily integrate with an existing Active Directory-based infrastructure and utilizes the familiar Microsoft Management Console for all administration. It also allows for central reporting of all device activity in a network.   At the same time, it allows for granular control to adjust to any organization's specific security requirements.   Corporate losses as a result of the theft of confidential information are estimated to be billions of dollars and according to the 2005 CSI / FBI Computer and Security Survey losses due to unauthorized access and theft of proprietary information by far exceed the damage caused by viruses.  But the risk is underestimated by most organizations - and attacks from inside are more likely than attacks from outside the corporate IT Network. Computer crime is not only present in large organizations, but any size organization that has sensitive data.  Almost any device attached to a computer can become a vehicle for the theft of confidential and private information.  Driven by the development of smaller memory chips these devices today have a large enough storage capacity to transport nearly anything from customer databases to development blueprints and company strategies. Thanks to user-friendly operating systems, employees only need to attach these devices to your computer and walk away with critical data. The DriveLock™ data security solution protects against such threats.  It can also automatically and transparently encrypt data that is copied to portable devices, such as USB thumb drives. This ensures that lost or stolen devices don't result in a disclosure of sensitive data.

Network Profiles

DriveLock immediately recognizes when the computer is connected to a different network, and applies the settings you configured for this network. Each drive, device or application whitelist rule can be set to apply to one or more network profiles, which correspond to specific networks. You can use network profiles to prevent connections to unapproved networks.

You can also ensure whether devices or applications can be used while a computer is connected to your corporate network or while outside the office. To prevent network

intrusions you can automatically disable wireless connections while a computer is connected to your company LAN.

Use Network Profiles to allow or deny access to drives or devices according to the active network connection.   DriveLock also simplifies mobile computing by automatically configuring browser settings and the default printer when moving between networks.  DriveLock is a perfect fit for the mobile professionals in your organization.

Security Reporting Center (SRC)

Monitoring network activity is crucial for ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements. You can consolidate network-wide information about device activity and data transfers by using the Security Reporting Center. Choose from standard report formats or create your own customized reports from the auditing data. Dynamic report creation, flexible filtering and sophisticated grouping functionality combine to let you find the information you’re looking for within seconds. Once you have created a report, you can print it, export the data for further analysis or even send the report to someone else via e-mail.

Device Scanner

The Device Scanner creates an inventory of all devices that are currently or were ever attached to the computers in your network. You can easily use the Device Scanner results to create a DriveLock policy that allows the use of some of these devices.

Terminal Server Edition

DriveLock lets you control the use of external drives attached to thin clients in your Terminal Server environment. The Application Launch Filter protects your server against

threats from unapproved or dangerous applications.

Encryption of removable drives

Accidental disclosure of sensitive data due to lost or stolen storage devices can be very costly. DriveLock can give you peace-of-mind by automatically and transparently encrypting data that’s copied to removable drives. When you need to ensure that only encrypted data is stored on these devices, DriveLock can enforce encryption and monitor data transfers for compliance reporting. If you need to work on your data at home or share files with someone else, the Mobile Encryption Application lets you access your encrypted information even on computers where DriveLock is not installed, and without the need for local administrative rights.

File Filtering

Control what can be copied to or from removable media. DriveLock can allow or block the copying of files according to your rules. Files types are identified according to content, not just only to file extensions. You can choose from the many file types that DriveLock can identify, or you create additional file definitions and even extend the rule processing by creating your own.
